BREAKING: Pennsylvania “Skill” Game Player Convicted Of Murdering Store Clerk
In case you missed it, a Pennsylvania man has been convicted after he shot and killed a store clerk in a local market before robbing the store of $14,000.
HERE’S THE WHOLE PICTURE: This clerk was an innocent victim in a robbery fueled by convenience store gambling. According to the prosecution, it was the store’s slot-like gambling machines that motivated the robbery. The criminal had recently won – and lost – a large sum of money on the machines, which is how he knew there would be significant sums of cash on site, “kept for instant payouts, and little security.”
In a separate proceeding, the clerk’s family filed a lawsuit, naming the “skill” game manufacturer Pace-O-Matic as a responsible party (this is the same out-of-state manufacturer operating illegal games in Virginia).
The lawsuit says the presence of these dangerous games turned the convenience store into an “unsafe mini casino.”
It’s story after story of crime and robbery with these predatory machines…Virginians deserve better. Let’s prioritize the safety of our neighborhoods and keep convenience store slots OUT of Virginia.
