Burglary and Neglect: Smells Like ‘Skill’ Games
ICYMI, here’s two new stories from around the country highlighting the dangers of convenience store gambling:
Pennsylvania – A disgruntled player returns to Press Your Luck, a ‘skill’ game business, to break into a machine and leaves with the cash box tucked under his shirt. Police arrested the player with bail set at $35,000.
Nebraska – A 4-year-old was left alone in a car for hours while a Lincoln woman played ‘skill’ games inside a truck stop at 2AM. When police arrived on the scene, the toddler was alone in the driver’s seat with the window open and was cold to the touch. It was 24 degrees out when the child was found.
…No matter where you find these machines, crime is close behind.
So-called skill games are a danger to our youth. They promote irresponsible behavior and attract criminals. These predatory devices do NOT belong in our communities.
